VIRTUAL INTRAMURALS 2020
Pandemic
New normal is very difficult, especially for those students that has a very low internet connection. It is a huge adjustment of the world that we used to live in.Rather than giving your random companion an embrace, you can simply wave them from a far place. Hand shakes is not allowed. Huge gatherings are did not allowed too.
Being part of the intramurals. It is difficult for me to communicate well with my team, because there are times my connection is very weak, But, nothing can stop human happiness even with pandemic, because for me being happy is a choice.
And, I am one of a representative of our department who joined a particular event. In my experience, I felt anxious, pressured and also proud, because It seems like I am on a tv game show.
In our first virtual Intramurals, there's a lot of activities, like Essay writing, Singing contest, Dance contest etc. Despite of this pandemic we already know that sports are always present in the event, but due to this situation, our school conducted an alternative online games like Mobile Legends and Call of Duty.
Virtual Intramurals is also fun, but I prefer choose the traditional intramurals to unite all students and strengthens their closureness, self confidence and communication skill towards other student. And like what I've said earlier Happiness is a choice and we don't have a choice just like Mayor Inday Sarah said "when should we act? We do not know how long this pandemic will end." So let's enjoy the new normal.
Task 2
(a) informative message
- Informational text is a subset of the larger category of nonfiction (Duke & Bennett-Armistead, 2003). Its primary purpose is to inform the reader about the natural or social world. Different from fiction, and other forms of nonfiction, informational text does not utilize characters.
(b) persuasive message
-A persuasive message is the central message that intrigues, informs, convinces, or calls to action. Persuasive messages are often discussed in terms of reason versus emotion. Every message has elements of ethos, or credibility; pathos, or passion and enthusiasm; and logos, or logic and reason.
(c) argumentative message
-An argumentative essay uses evidence and facts to prove whether or not a thesis is true. It presents two sides of a single issue, and covers the most important arguments for and against. People sometimes confuse the argumentative essay and the persuasive essay.
